New Year's Blog Hop and Giveaway

The mark of the New Year means different things to individuals.  To some it is a time to go out and have a party with friends.  Others like to attend First Night celebrations like the one in Boston which includes music and fireworks.  Still others consider it a time to make New Year's resolutions regarding everything from obtaining a better job to loosing weight.

I myself I always keep my New Year's low key and stay in the warmth and comfort of my own home. To be honest some years I fall asleep before the clock even hits midnight.  And as for New Year's resolutions, I don't always make them.  This year ,though, I am setting what I am referring to as my New Year's Writing Goals.  And what are my goals?

First I want to complete the next two books in my romance series The Sherbrookes of Newport.  Currently the first two are out The Teacher's Billionaire which is free and The Billionaire Playboy. I just finished the first draft for the third book.  My second writing goal is to decide if I want to continue with this series or move onto something else when it is finished.  I keep going back and forth with this one.

What about you?  What are your goals for the new year?  Leave a comment below with your email address and be entered to win 1 of 3 Grand Prizes.  In addition to these prizes, I will be awarding an Amazon Gift card to one commenter.

Don't forget that you can go to EACH blog and comment with your email address and be entered to win. Yep, you can enter over 200 times!  To see what other blogs are participating visit http://carrieannbloghops.blogspot.com/

Now what are those prizes?

1st Grand Prize: A Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet
2nd Grand Prize: A $300 Amazon or B&N Gift Card
3rd Grand Prize: A Swag Pack that contains paperbacks, ebooks, 50+ bookmarks, cover flats, magnets, pens, coffee cozies, and more!

Many reasons why, but this year, we are changing that. Looking for a pet friendly cabin for a week's vacation. We will do it.

  39. No resolutions or traditions this year, Hubby and I stayed at home this year, we had a nice evening with the fire place going, I had a glass of wine and about 8:30 hubby wanted to watch Batman Rising. It ended just in time before the New Year for our New Year Kiss, which by the way was interupted by our 3 big dogs who jumped up on the couch with us - LOL They were scared from the loud noises coming from the fireworks going off outside - LOL It was funny but was all good, we just laughed and realized how much love we have in our lives.

  50. Krista, if you havent already use goodreads.com to keep track of the books you have read and books you want to read. I love the site. It also recommends other books for you based off of what you have already read and would like to read. You can also rate and leave comments on the books for other readers who might be deciding whether to read the book or not. I hope this helps with your resolution.

Oh and the best part is, you can get it as a free app for your ereader and phone :)

  80. I only have two resolutions. Lose weight. Read more. I am going to do both. That's it. That's all. I just am. I am the typical people pleaser. But I am learning. Which is what made me resolve to do this. There people that will be surprised to hear things like, No, I cant & Sorry, you will have to wait....I always told my books those things before. Sorry, you will have to wait. No, I cant read you right now.
But this year, I am reading every single day. I have joined two clubs. One to read sports romance and another to whittle down that growing TBR list.
As for the losing weight. I am going to take my granddaughter out for walks. I am going to close the door on the spare room, turn on some music and dance. Well, my version of dance. haha And I will lose some weight.
Thanks for getting me to write this down. Makes it more concrete for me. :-) Happy New Year everyone!!
