Oooooo!!! I'm your first comment! LOL! I love reading romance! It's a great escape. I love the HEA, the path to the HEA, and a great Alpha hero. In real life, I think it is overrated. I think the little things in life can be just as romantic as big overblown gestures. And, after being married for 30 years, I am sooooo glad I don't have to deal with the dating scene these days!

My first "real" novels were Johanna Lindsey and Jude Deveraux books. To this day, they are still part of the ruler I measure my own stuff against. The Pirates of the Caribbean movies brought me back to Gentle Rogue and jump started my writing a few years back.

HEA of course. It is an escape from the reality of my life. There is no romance. I am almost 40 and never had a real boyfriend. When I say real boyfriend. No one that we went out on dates, etc. Only guy was in high school and it was basically hand holding. So I escape to romance novels
