Summary:
Highland Avenger
is the next installment in Hannah Howell's Murray Saga. This book
focuses on Sir Brian MacFingal and Arianna Murray Lucette.
Arianna
is fleeing for her life, and when her enemies attack the ship
she is traveling on which is bound for Scotland and her family. She
thinks all hope is lost when she and her charges are plunged into the
ocean. But then .she awakens on Scotland's shore to a pair of the
most entrancing blue eyes she has ever seen.
When Sir Brian MacFingal first sees Arianna on the beach, he
mistakes her for dead. Soon, however, he discovers a woman more full
of life and vitality than he ever dreamed possible. And while he
knows he is fit to defend her life--even at risk of losing his own—he
doesn't believe he can ever be worthy of her love.
Christina's Thoughts:
Once again Hannah Howell transports us
to the shores of medieval Scotland. The characters are well
developed and likeable. Both characters come from families readers
have meet before so they are treated to appearances by past beloved
characters. The story itself is well developed and unfolds nicely as
readers slowly learn the full truth behind the villain’s hunt for
Arianna and her chargers.
Overall opinion:
I trully enjoyed this newest book by
Hannah Howell. She is a talented author and I would purchase
anything with her name on it. I would recommend this book to anyone
who enjoys historical romance.
